Job Description:
The Sr. Director, Global Project Engineering defines,
implements, and executes the global project engineering strategy.
They will adapt this strategy and provide solutions that
continuously evolve, pacing at the speed of the business. This is
the top project engineering role in the organization and will drive
improvements globally through a detailed understanding of equipment
and systems design and installations, and the variables impacting
operations. They are responsible for the direction and management
of engineering and associated project activities. This leader is
responsible for Project (CAPEX) Management with a capital budget of
USD $310M.This leader will possess high emotional intelligence and
a growth mindset. In addition, they will deploy a customer-centric
approach and develop an operating model that supports our business
growth strategy. Their strategic capabilities will be a critical
differentiator versus only being an operational manager.
This strategic leader will ensure manufacturing and operations
enable the projected growth.

Regional/Segment Engineering leads Key Deliverables: Lead global
project engineering function, define and implement the global
Design for Reliability processes and the Project Engineering and
Capital Governance/Management process.Responsible for the execution
of large capital projects across the enterprise, including project
development, estimating, preparing for project approvals, and
execution.Ensures delivery of Operational and strategic capital
plan aligned to business objectives; both 1-year and 5-year
planning horizons.CAPEX Investments and Project Execution: Lead
CAPEX investments, evaluating financial feasibility and aligning
projects with business objectives. Oversee the execution of capital
projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and
meet defined goals and in compliance with Ingredion's ethics,
safety, and engineering standards.Own the global project
engineering, coordinating closely with HR Partner and regional
Operations leaders to ensure proper competency model and career
ladder are in place.Coordinate regular global functional excellence
communication, training & and development events leveraging
corporate communications, chat platforms, and Insight.Actively
participate in external learning events, bringing industry
functional best practices into Ingredion and regularly upgrading
our aspirations and capabilities to create/maintain competitive
advantage in the markets we compete inBuild, cascade, and actively
manage the functional OGSM, aligning with the Global Operations
OGSM and coordinating closely with regions for appropriate
alignment.Develop and lead the implementation of a global design
for reliability strategy for the global network.Establish a KPI
system to monitor and identify improvement opportunities in the
area of facility reliability and asset utilization.Establish and
build a relationship(s) with partner EPC/M firms to enhance cost
position, project execution timeline, and leverage standards to not
repeat.
Focus on reducing FIL expenses as a percentage of overall project
costs and timeline.Work with manufacturing and R&D managers to
implement technology transfers into the design, development, and
modification of products and manufacturing facilities.Set project
management process, provide leadership in Project Engineering and
Project Management, train and monitor compliance
accordingly.Establish, enhance, and drive standardization of
project management processes.Adapt machine and equipment design to
plant and production conditions.Build Project Management
capabilities across the organization.Support M&A activities as
needed in collaboration with the VP of Operations Strategy of
M&ACollaborate with Procurement to reduce capital equipment
costs and ensure standard methodologies are used in capital
procurement.Identify trends in the Project and Construction
management that can bring value to our manufacturing
network.Collaborate with Go to Market teams, finance, supply chain,
and manufacturing to develop the financial return for growth
projects.Execute projects within budget and schedule, delivering
targeted return on investment, and in compliance with Ingredion's
ethics, safety, and engineering standardsIdentifies potential
external and internal operations business risks and deploys plans
to mitigate them.Propose and lead network optimization efforts to
ensure the best level of utilization and ROIC (Return on Invested
Capital) across the regionBrings best practices to the organization
- Champions new processes, removes barriers, and adapts current
processes to facilitate improvement.Through close cooperation with
Operations leaders globally, ensures timely implementation of
appropriate initiatives within role scope.Build Project Management
capabilities across the organization.Work across operations to
develop the 5-year capital plan; partnering with corporate finance
team and other capex stakeholders. People Leadership:

internally. Knowledge, Skills,
and Requirements: Have successfully led teams of project engineers
in multiple regions to implement multiple capital projects, and
permits, and perform engineering functions in a plant environment;
preferably having lived a/o worked in multiple regions of the
world.Deep knowledge of the Reliability process, mainly Design for
Reliability.Enjoy international and domestic travel, including
extended trips and frequency up to 50% of total time.
If working remotely based out of our corporate or regional HQ
location, the expectation is you will be present in the
Westchester, Illinois HQ location up to 50% of the time when not
traveling for project-related work.Demonstrate the proven
capability of independent decision-making with the ability to
successfully meet targeted goals and time and budgetary
constraints.Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience working
with Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing Management
Systems.Can solve problems, find opportunities for improvement, and
implement action plans and follow-up to ensure effective
results.Effectively develop and present technical materials for
employee training and development.Are never satisfied with the
current results, assuming personal responsibility to work
proactively and continually improve.Use data and findings to
support broader and multi-functional business recommendations.A
bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's degree in chemical or
mechanical preferred) MBA is a plus.Courageously and innovatively
evaluate different design paths for the Global Engineering
organization.Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process,
and systems involved in its operation such as basic chemistry,
material and energy balances, P&ID development, mechanical and
physical/chemical separations, evaporation, drying, material
handling, GMP, and energy management.Strong functional knowledge of
Operations best practicesSuccessful track record in leading sizable
and multiple manufacturing sites across different countries/regions
and effectively managing multicultural teams locally and
remotelyExcellent communication skills at all levels of the
organization, (from executives to shop floor employees)Ability to
work within a diverse organization, including people from different
cultures, backgrounds, levels, and perspectives, and collaborate to
