Company located in Chicago has a great entry level Sales
Representative opening.
This position will run own territory like their own business,
working directly with the customer to develop and implement
promotional marketing strategies that will increase distribution
and ultimately increase sales for the customer.
Primary Responsibilities:
--- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new
accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on
existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
--- Responsible for contacting new clients, maintaining
relationships with established clients, consulting on new products
and setting prices.
--- Sell food to local grocery stores, wholesalers, and
distributors.
--- Responsible for distribution, shelving, and merchandising of
all products.
--- Submit orders by referring to price lists and product
literature.
--- Able to maintain a good relationship with our customers and be
able to find solutions to any customer concern.
--- Increase business by adding products to distribution and
expanding the usage of existing products.
--- Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing
sales within assigned customers and a given sales territory.
--- Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information
accuracy monthly. Review daily sales reports.
--- Implement marketing strategies for our products.
--- Keeps management informed by submitting activity results
reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly
and annual territory analysis.
--- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace
information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules,
and merchandising techniques.
--- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and
customer sales.
--- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as
needed.

Education & Licensing Requirements:
--- Must have a H.S Diploma or GED Certification Equivalent.
--- Must have 2-4 years' sales experience.
--- Background in retail food sales, and distribution channels
preferred but not necessary.
--- Must have a valid Driver's License
--- Clean Motor Vehicle Driving record.
--- Must have basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint)
