Job Description Job Description About Super Soccer Stars: Started over 20 years ago on the Upper West Side of New York City, Soccer Stars now serves over 20,000 children weekly across cities including New York, California, Boston, Miami, Chicago, Philadelphia, Texas, and Washington, DC. Our mission is to teach soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive, and educational environment where every child can thrive. Job Description: We are seeking highly energetic and passionate coaches to lead soccer classes for young children (15 months to 10 years old). If you love working with kids and are excited to inspire them to develop both motor skills and a love for physical activity, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, dynamic, and committed to fostering a fun, engaging, and educational environment for kids. Key Details: We are currently hiring for two coaching cohorts. Please review the required training, scheduling, and location details below. Cohort 1: Required availability: Saturdays from July 12 – August 23 (8:30 AM – 12 PM) Required training: Week of July 7 – 11 Required location: Lincoln Park, Lakeview, or Jefferson Park Additional opportunities based on reliability and performance: Saturdays from September 5 - November 15 (8:30 AM - 12 PM) Weekdays (3 PM to 6 PM) Weekdays (9 AM to 12 PM) Sundays (8:30 AM - 12 PM) Cohort 2: Required availability: At least two weekdays from August 18 – December 19 (3 PM – 6 PM) And/or Saturdays or Sundays from August 9 – August 24 (8:30 AM – 12 PM) Required training: Week of August 4 - August 10 Required location: Weekday coaching opportunities available across Chicago, including Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Andersonville, Logan Square, West Loop, South Loop, Hyde Park, Edgewater, Evanston, and more Weekend coaching opportunities in Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Logan Square, or Jefferson Park. Additional opportunities based on reliability and performance: Weekdays (9 AM to 12 PM) Saturdays from September 5 - November 15 (8:30 AM - 12 PM) Sundays (8:30 AM - 12 PM) What We Offer: Part-time schedule: Guaranteed 3 hours each weekend, with up to 10–15 hours per week Competitive pay: Starting at $21/hour, with the potential to earn up to $35/hour based on experience and performance Flexible scheduling: Beyond required weekend hours, you choose the times that work best for you Bonus incentives: Opportunities to earn extra based on performance On-the-job training: We’ll equip you with everything you need to succeed Professional development: We support your growth as a coach and as a professional Day-to-Day Roles & Responsibilities: Be Reliable and Punctual: Arrive on time, prepared, and in uniform for every class, ready to deliver a high-quality experience. Transport and Set Up Equipment: Carry, set up, and break down equipment before and after each class, ensuring the field is organized and safe. Implement Curriculum: Review and follow the Soccer Stars curriculum to ensure structured, goal-oriented, and educational sessions that align with child development benchmarks. Lead Soccer Classes: Deliver high-energy, engaging, and age-appropriate soccer classes for children ages 15 months to 10 years in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Ensure Safety: Supervise children closely, provide individual support as needed, and maintain an inclusive play environment. Communicate with Families and Staff: Interact professionally and positively with parents, caregivers, school staff, and administrators before, during, and after classes. Collaborate with Management Team: Share feedback, attendance updates, and any relevant class information with the office staff to support program quality and consistency. Model Professionalism: Serve as a positive role model for children and families by demonstrating enthusiasm, respect, and professionalism in all interactions. Requirements Must be available for weekend mornings (8:30 AM – 12 PM). Willingness to travel to different school/park locations across the city of Chicago. Car is required for travel to different locations. Prior experience working with children is required. Prior soccer experience NOT necessary . A dynamic personality: You must be able to connect with children and lead an exciting and engaging class. Punctual and dependable: Expected to arrive 15 minutes before class start time (paid time) to set up and prepare. Must meet company background check requirements.
