POSITION SUMMARY:
Join Poplar Homes as the Head of Multi-Family Property Management in the heart of Chicago- a city renowned for its dynamic culture.
In this pivotal leadership position, you will:

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of multi-family properties, ensuring they align with our financial and operational goals.
  
• Craft and administer property budgets, track performance and execute strategies to improve revenue and minimize expenses.
  
• Spearhead leasing initiatives, maximize occupancy and build positive tenant relations to drive satisfaction and loyalty.

  RESPONSIBILITIES:
  
  • 
    
  • A deep understanding of multi-family property management, including knowledge of industry best practices, local regulations and market trends.
    
  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio oversight, ensuring that multifamily properties meet financial and operational goals and the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize portfolio performance.
    
  • Strong financial management skills, including developing and managing property budgets, analyzing financial reports, and implementing cost-effective strategies to enhance profitability.
    
  • Experience in leading leasing, optimizing occupancy rates, and implementing effective marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants.
    
  • Knowledge of property maintenance and repair processes, including overseeing interim maintenance and repairs for multi-family units.
    
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including recruiting, training, and supervising property management teams, leasing agents, maintenance staff, and administrative personnel.
    
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    
    • 
      
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in multi-family property management, including at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
      
    • 5+ years of experience in leading teams to execute M&A integration
      
    • Experience working in a tech-forward company
      
    • Experience working in a fast-growing and, at times, unpredictable environment
      
    • Track record of successfully managing property budgets, optimizing revenue, and controlling expenses to achieve financial targets.
      
    • Proven experience maintaining high tenant satisfaction levels and reducing turnover through effective tenant relations strategies.
      
    • Prior experience in recruiting, training, and managing property management teams, maintenance staff, and other related personnel.
      
    • Must be willing to travel up to 30%
      
      COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
      Annual Salary:$200,000 - $350,000
      Bonus:Total compensation is a mix of base, bonus, and equity, depending on the right candidate.
