Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse
(RN) to join our GI Lab team, where we thrive on providing

outcomes in gastroenterology. As an RN in our GI Lab, you will
manage patient care in a highly specialized environment, utilizing
the latest technology and treatment methods to administer patient
care while ensuring safety and patient satisfaction. Assess and
monitor patients' conditions, record medical history, and symptoms,
initiate prescribed procedures. Prepare patients for examinations
and procedures in the GI setting, including explaining treatments
and routines. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
by physicians, and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
Operate and monitor medical equipment used in gastroenterology
procedures. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate
coordinated and comprehensive care. Maintain detailed, accurate,
and confidential patient records. Educate patients and their
families on disease processes, treatment, and home care techniques.
Proficiency in clinical skills with a focus on gastroenterological
nursing care. Strong understanding of sanitation, sterilization,
and safety standards. Excellent verbal and written communication
skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated empathy and commitment to patient health and
confidentiality. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Required: Valid RN license in the
state of practice. Preferred: Certification in Gastroenterology
Nursing (CGRN) is a plus.
