Echo Tech Location: Janesville, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,640 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Radiologic Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 11am - 7pm Experience: Minimum years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist required. License: BLS required Certifications: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Must-Have: Experience in Adult Echo/Stress/TEE/Call Coverage. Description: Schedule is Monday through Friday from 11am to 7pm. On-call weekend rotation is every 7 weeks. Produces two or three-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of the heart and related structures for use by the physician in diagnosing heart disease. Responsible for performing echocardiographic examinations using clinical judgment to determine the need for additional testing protocols. Assesses, prepares, and performs various echocardiographic examinations, including M-mode, 2D/3D Doppler, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. Provides emotional support, physical comfort, and safety for patients and visitors. Maintains equipment and examination area in working condition. Performs echocardiograms per standard imaging protocol, ensuring high-quality, safe patient care. Actively participates in the on-call roster. Recognizes arrhythmias and takes appropriate action by notifying the physician of abnormal EKG readings or acute conditions. Assesses the quality of electrocardiographic and echocardiography recordings and corrects deficiencies when possible. Documents findings in the patient medical record, including patient history and procedural information, ensuring accuracy in charges. Educates patients and their families about the procedure and documents the process in the patient record. Responds appropriately in emergency situations. Utilizes equipment according to established procedures and refers to manuals as needed. Notifies management of equipment requiring repair and processes appropriate paperwork.
