Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53226! Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
(CVICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1st Shift Hours per Shift: 12
hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years CVICU experience in an
academic medical center. License: Current state Registered Nurse
License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state
in the Nurse Licensure Compact. Certifications: - Basic Life
Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers Must-Have: - Clinical
competence and experience in the care and management of target
patient populations specific to the area of employment. -
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level
normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited
School of Nursing. Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible
for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care
for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment.
This individual demonstrates competency in delivery of care to a
primarily adult population. The Staff RN-Inpatient job description
has incorporated essential functions which are adapted from the
Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. Clinical experience in
the management of cardiac surgery patients is preferred. Experience
with IABP, Impella, and ECMO is highly desirable. This role
requires floating to ICU first, then step down, and then med-surg
as needed. Candidates should possess a minimum of an Associate’s
degree in nursing, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Required
certifications include BLS and ACLS. This position may also serve a
diverse patient population and requires a commitment to
