Ascension, a leading faith-based healthcare organization, is seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist XRAY to join our team. This role is instrumental in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services that facilitate the delivery of top-tier medical treatment. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to transforming healthcare through innovative practices and compassionate, personalized care. Perform diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to capture the clearest and most useful images. Collaborate with radiologists to determine the appropriate diagnostic procedures and implement their directives accurately. Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipt. Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records according to established protocols. Assist in maintaining the radiology department's safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and by adhering to infection-control policies. Proficient in operating radiologic equipment and performing diagnostic procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff. Strong attention to detail for accurately recording patient information and managing diagnostic images. Capability to adhere strictly to guidelines concerning radiation safety and patient confidentiality.
