The role operates within a warehouse environment, storing raw materials for a manufacturing facility and finished products ready for delivery. Handling valuable and potentially fragile raw materials requires caution. Finished products include large electrical panels that may require careful forklift operation to ensure safe handling. The work environment is productive with a focus on meeting deadlines while maintaining organization and proper inventory storage. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklift to move larger control boxes. Utilize RF scanners and basic computer skills. Lift and move boxes to assigned locations. Process incoming material by confirming part numbers and counts against purchase orders and shipping documents. Stage materials in appropriate inventory locations. Pull and identify parts from inventory. Kit specified materials and deliver to production floor or external suppliers. Maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and organized manner. Read bills of material, pull stock, and accurately transact material movement in the electronic inventory tracking system. Assist in physical inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records within business systems. Assist with loading and unloading trucks. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator within a manufacturing warehouse. Basic computer skills. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Proficiency in forklift operation and material handling. Experience with RF scanners, loading, and pallet jack operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required. Integrity and ethics in line with company values. Customer focus and commitment. Work Environment The facility is medium-sized with 60 employees, specializing in fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly from start to finish. The workplace is clean, modernly designed, and maintained at comfortable temperatures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
