Candidates should have 7 years of public accounting tax experience, a CPA license, and a strong background in individual, trust, estate, and gift tax compliance and planning. Based in Buffalo Grove , this position provides flexibility with hybrid or in-office schedules and emphasizes professional development, technology-driven efficiency, and collaboration with senior leadership. This is a hands-on managerial role where you will directly impact client relationships and firm operations. Key Responsibilities Lead tax engagements for high-net-worth clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Develop strategic tax recommendations while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. Serve as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining strong client relationships. Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with senior leadership to resolve complex tax issues efficiently and creatively. Utilize technology to optimize internal workflows and client-facing processes. Oversee the preparation, review, and execution of Individual, Trust, Estate, and Gift tax returns. Communicate clearly with clients and team members to exceed expectations. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification with an active license. Minimum of 7 years of public accounting tax experience; 1 year in a senior managerial capacity preferred. Expertise in Individual, Gift, Estate, and Trust tax compliance and advisory. Proven experience delivering tax planning and solutions for high-net-worth clients. Strong problem-solving, initiative, and collaboration skills. Excellent project management and leadership abilities with a client-focused approach. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning. Preferred Qualifications Comfortable working in a hybrid or in-office setting in Buffalo Grove, IL . Experience mentoring staff and leading complex client engagements.
